Guy Barrette is a system architect at Nurun in Montreal. Nurun is one of largest consulting firm specializing in e-business solutions. He has been working with Visual Basic since the launch of version 3. His focus is on Web applications with Microsoft technologies like IIS, ASP, MTS, COM+, Visual Basic, C#, Visual Studio.Net, SQL Server, and Commerce Server. He worked on one of the largest and successful e-commerce site in Canada: www.archambault.ca. He's been a speaker at conferences and writes the .NET book review column on the Universal Thread Magazine (www.universalthread.com). Guy is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer. Scott Bellware, F1 Technologies 
Scott Bellware is the architect and developer of Norpheme – a freely available object-relational persistence framework for .NET. Scott is a software and reuse architect for a fortune 500 financial services company in San Antonio, TX, a founder and Director of Operations of the Austin .NET User Group, an officer of the San Antonio XP User Group, and has been collaborating with F1 Technologies towards the development of a suite of developer tools supporting the Norpheme framework. He has given talks on object-relational persistence for .NET and software testing and validation for .NET applications. Mario Cardinal, Mario Cardinal Consulting 
Mario is a regular speaker at conferences in North America and Europe on Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP). He frequently demonstrates code generation technologies to the general public at seminars, user-groups and technical summits. He is also an accomplished author and his articles have been published in various technical journals. Eric Coté, 3-Soft 
Éric Côté is currently a technical trainer for 3-SOFT in Montreal. 3-SOFT is Canada's leading software reseller. The 3-SOFT Training Center is a tech paradise for Microsoft certified training, with its top-notch instructors and great downtown location. Consultant on the Microsoft platform for the last five years, Éric Côté is now an expert on the .NET architecture. Tom Eberhard, CPU Inc. 
Thomas Eberhard is the owner of CPU Inc and CIO of InfoLink Screening Services, Inc. He has been working with computers for over 24 years and writing applications in languages long before Visual Basic. During the last 5 years Thomas has worked with Visual Basic, VFP, SQL Server, ASP, COM/ COM+ to create Web applications for smaller and medium size companies, taking legacy systems to the Web. A lot of his applications use advanced object–oriented techniques. Markus Egger is the owner of EPS Software Corporation and specializes in object-oriented development, Internet development, training and consulting. He has written numerous articles for publications including Fuchs, FoxTalk, FoxPro Advisor and Microsoft Office & Database Journal. Markus is Publisher of CoDe Magazine, a .NET publication focusing in technologies such as COM+, .NET and Web Development. Mike Feltman, F1 Technologies 
Mike got his start in computers at the age of 15 as an assistant instructor at the University of Toledo and became an instructor at the University of Toledo at the age of 17. Mike also is a former employee of Fox Software, the original creators of FoxPro. At Fox Software Mike worked in technical support and marketing, developed in-house systems and performed product maintenance on the FoxCentral module in FoxBase+. Mike has spoken at FoxPro and database conferences and user groups throughout North America and in Europe. He has also written articles for FoxPro Advisor and FoxTalk magazines and served as technical editor on Hentzenwerke Publishing's book, "Building Visual FoxPro Applications with Visual FoxExpress."

 
Toni Feltman, F1 Technologies 
Toni is a partner in F1 Technologies and one of the principal developers of the FoxExpress product line. She also wrote the public domain tool ProjectHookX and is a contributor to DBCX which is a public domain data dictionary tool. Toni has spoken at all of the FoxExpress Developers Conferences as well as Visual FoxPro DevCon, VFP DevConnections, The German FoxPro Developers Conference, FoxTeach, Great Lakes Great Database Workshop, The Prague FoxPro Developers Conference in the Czech Republic and various user groups throughout North America. Toni was also a judge of the 1998 and 1999 Visual FoxPro Excellence Awards. Prior to F1 Technologies, Toni worked for Fox Software, the company that originated FoxPro. Toni is also an instructor at the University of Toledo where she teaches a wide variety of computer related courses, primarily in the areas of database and Internet development.

 
Carl Franklin, Franklin's Net 
Carl Franklin has been a figurehead in the VB community since the very early days when he wrote for Visual Basic Programmers Journal. He authored the Q&A column of that magazine as well as many feature articles for VBPJ and other magazines. He has authored two books for John Wiley & Sons on sockets programming in VB, and in 1994 he helped create the very first web site for VB developers, Carl & Gary’s VB Home Page. He now teaches hands-on VB .NET classes for his company, Franklins.Net. He has taught developers from Citigroup, Aetna, Fidelity Investments, Fleet Bank, Foxwoods Casino, UTC, Hubbell, Microsoft, Mohegan Sun Casino, Northeast Utilities, to name a few. Carl is co-host of a weekly talk show on his website for .NET programmers called .NET Rocks! Carl is MSDN Regional Director for Connecticut.

Cathi Gero is available as a consultant and developer through Prenia Corporation. Cathi is co-founder and development director of Prenia, providing custom software application solutions to businesses since 1987. Her expertise lies in developing .NET applications, developer consulting in .NET, and database solutions using Visual FoxPro, SQL Server and Crystal Reports. Cathi is a Microsoft MVP. Tamar E. Granor, Ph.D., owner of Tomorrow's Solutions, LLC, works with other developers through consulting and subcontracting. Kate Gregory, Gregory Consulting 
Kate Gregory is a founding partner of Gregory Consulting Limited (www.gregcons.com), providing consulting and development services throughout North America since 1986. Based in Peterborough, Ontario, the firm develops software, primarily for the web, as well as components for web pages and other applications. Yair Alan Griver is the Group Manager for the Visual Studio Data group. As Group Manager, Alan’s teams produce the tools used inside of Visual Studio .NET, Office and SQL Server that surface data capabilities, as well as Visual FoxPro. Alan is focusing on making Microsoft’s products the best data environments for developers. Prior to this position, Alan was a Lead Program Manager and Community Evangelist for Visual Basic .NET, driving community interests into Visual Basic .NET. Before joining Microsoft, Alan was Chief Information Officer at GoAmerica, a publicly traded telecommunications (wireless internet) company, and co-founder and CIO of Flash Creative Management a business strategy and technology consulting company. Alan is the author of five books on Visual FoxPro and Visual Basic, the creator of various development frameworks, and has developed database systems ranging into the thousands of users. Patrick Hynds, CriticalSites 
Patrick Hynds, MCSD, MCSE+I, MCDBA, MCSA, MCP+Site Builder, MCT, is the Microsoft Regional Director for Boston and the CTO for CriticalSites. Named by Microsoft as the Regional Director for Boston, he has been recognized as a leader in the technology field. An expert on Microsoft technology (with at last count 54 Microsoft certifications) and experienced with other technologies as well (Websphere, Sybase, Perl, Java, Unix, Netware, C++, etc.), Patrick previously taught freelance software development and Network Architecture. Prior to joining EPS Software, Daniel was the project leader for Eagle USA’s TALON system, winner of the 1999 VFP Excellence Award in the “Client-Server” category. Rock Legendre, an independent consultant located in the Drummondville area, specializes in system integration and the development of Windows and Web supported database transactional applications. He has successfully developed various types of applications in finance, the automobile industry, Web services, COM objects and B2B systems. Ken Levy, Microsoft Corporation 
Ken Levy is the Visual FoxPro Product Manager at Microsoft. Ken is a long time recognized member of the FoxPro community and has developed many high profile applications and tools in all versions of FoxBase/FoxPro through Visual FoxPro 6.0 since 1986. Ken was previously the Director of Technology at XMLFund, LLC and led a team of technologists in identifying and evaluating investment prospects while assisting portfolio companies in technology and marketing. Ken was formerly with DataChannel, Inc. as a Senior Architect working on technical marketing efforts for XML based enterprise corporate portal products. Ken spent over 4 years as a software engineer consulting for Microsoft on the Visual FoxPro team from version 3.0 through 7.0 and is the author of many components of Visual FoxPro including the Class Browser and Component Gallery. While working as a consultant at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Ken developed several public domain open source programs including GenScrnX and other developer tools used worldwide for in-house and commercial applications. Ken is a former technical contributing editor and writer to many software magazines, a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

Val Matison, Matison Information Architects 
Val Matison is an internationally recognized database expert. Eric Moreau, Concept S2i Inc. 
Eric Moreau is a Senior Consultant for Concept S2i inc., a consulting company in Montreal. He holds Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) certifications. He is mainly programming client/server applications using VB and MS SQL Server (and all the stuff surrounding it) particularly for the banking industry. Ted Neward is an independent software development architect and mentor in the Sacramento, California area. He is the author of a number of books, including "Server-Based Java Programming" (Manning), the forthcoming "Effective Enterprise Java" (Addison-Wesley) and "SSCLI Essentials" (OReilly) and co-author of "C# In a Nutshell" (OReilly) with Peter Drayton and Ben Albahari. He is also an instructor with DevelopMentor, where he teaches and authors both the Java and .NET curriculum. He speaks frequently for technology user groups (most often for the Sacramento Java User's Group), and writes technical papers for www.javageeks.com and www.clrgeeks.com. Rod is president and founder of Dash Point Software, Inc. DPSI is an award winning software company based in Seattle, WA, specializing in application development and software training. Dash Point specializes in Visual Studio .NET, VB 6, Visual FoxPro, and SQL Server development. Dash Point Software was the winner of the 1999 Visual FoxPro Excellence Award and a finalist in 1998. Les Pinter, Pinter Consulting 
While working toward a Ph.D. in economics at Rice University in Houston, Texas, Les Pinter teamed up with two high-school friends to market the fourth word processing program ever written for microcomputers - the Magic Wand. A year later, Les had sold the Magic Wand to a 23-year-old Bill Gates and began Pinter Consulting. He bought copy number 253 of FoxBASE, and published a newsletter about FoxBASE and FoxPro for over 10 years, including a Russian edition. Les continues to publish articles on FoxPro, SQL, VB.NET and ASP.NET on his website and in Les Pinter's Database Journal, a bimonthly newsletter. Les has been a speaker at numerous FoxPro conferences in the US, Mexico, France, Spain, Russia and Canada. He gives seminars in five languages, most recently at the MCFUG FoxPro Developer's Seminar in Mexico City, where Pinter Consulting de Mexico's corporate office is located. Les lives in San Mateo, California with his wife Ying-Ying Chang. He is a private pilot, and once played lead guitar in the road band for Jerry Lee Lewis.

 
Cathy Pountney, Optimal Solutions, Inc. 
Cathy Pountney is a developer with Optimal Solutions, Inc., where she focuses on the School Finance 2k application, which is written completely in Visual FoxPro and implemented in numerous school systems throughout Michigan. She's also the President of Frontier Software Solutions, Inc., which she founded in 1989, when she first began using Fox products. In her 20 years of developing software, she's written applications for a variety of businesses and different vertical markets. She's even had the privilege of working as a contractor onsite in Redmond with the Microsoft Fox Team on VFP 7.0. In addition to developing software, Cathy has written several articles for FoxTalk and The Information Systems Consultant and currently has a book available from Hentzenwerke Publishing: The Visual FoxPro Report Writer -- Pushing it To the Limit and Beyond. Cathy is active in the Grand Rapids Area FoxPro User Group and speaks at FoxPro conferences and user groups across the United States.

 
Roman Rehak, Competitive Computing 
Roman Rehak is a senior developer at Competitive Computing in Burlington, VT. He specializes in SQL Server development, database performance tuning and writing DBMS utilities. He regularly contributes SQL Server related articles to Visual Studio Magazine and other technical publications. He is an active member of Professional Association for SQL Server, he was a speaker at the last PASS conference and this year he was selected to be the track leader for the "Database & Application Development" track for the upcoming "2003 PASS Community Summit" conference in Seattle. Roman holds multiple Microsoft certification titles and is currently working on upgrading his certifications to .NET.

 
Mac Rubel, EPS Software Corp 
Malcolm C. Rubel is Director of Sales and Marketing for EPS Software in Houston Texas. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College where he learned BASIC from Professor John Kemeny and has his MBA from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He is the author of several books on the Xbase language including FoxPro 2.0 Power Tools. He is a contributing editor to FoxPro Advisor and, until recently, had a monthly column appearing in at least one publication for eleven years. He is the author of the FoxPro Power Developer's Library, a cross-platform suite of utilities for FoxPro 2.5/2.6 and Visual FoxPro, and Raidar, the Development Debugger for FoxPro 2.5/6 and Visual Raidar for Visual FoxPro. He has also spoken at many national and regional conferences over the years and is a five-time Microsoft MVP. He is currently working hard to become an RMG (Registered Maine Guide.)

 
Drew Speedie, Vision Data Solutions. Inc. 
Drew develops Visual FoxPro applications and provides technical direction on FoxPro projects at Vision Data Solutions, Inc. He is the chief architect of the Visual MaxFrame Professional application framework and is also responsible for creating VDSI's VFP and VMP training classes. For the past several years, Drew has been a contributing editor to FoxPro Advisor Magazine. He has been a judge for the Visual FoxPro Excellence Awards each of the years they have been awarded. Drew is a frequent speaker at various international FoxPro events.

 
Rick Strahl, West Wind Technologies 
Rick Strahl is president of West Wind Technologies on Maui, Hawaii. The company specializes in Web and distributed application development and tools with focus on Windows 2000, ISAPI, Visual FoxPro, .NET and Visual Studio. Rick is author of West Wind Web Connection, a powerful and widely used Web application framework for Visual FoxPro and West Wind HTML Help Builder, a documentation tool for developers. He's also a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, and a frequent contributor to magazines and books. He is co-publisher and co-editor of Code magazine, and his book, "Internet Applications with Visual FoxPro 6.0", is published by Hentzenwerke Publishing.

 
Chuck Urwiler, EPS Software Corporation 
Chuck Urwiler is a Senior Developer and Consultant with EPS Software Corporation , where he develops applications using Visual FoxPro, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, and SQL Server. Over the past several years, Chuck has provided training for thousands of developers as well as designing and implementing mission-critical applications using Microsoft tools and technology. He continues to share his knowledge with the developer community through presentations at user groups, Microsoft seminars, and Developer Conferences for VFP, SQL Server and .NET. Chuck is a co-author of Building Client/Server Applications with VFP and SQL Server by Hentzenwerke Publishing and has served as a technical editor on several other books regarding SQL Server, MSDE and e-Commerce. Chuck is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) and a Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA).
