Microsoft #CANITPRO Camp: Windows Server 2012
Windows Server 2012 has brought power and control back in the hands of the IT Professional. With solutions such as Hyper-V, now on par with other virtualization offerings in market being included at no additional cost, interest in migrating from previous versions of server are at an all-time high. This session will provide you the ammunition to help convince your organization to migrate to Windows Server 2012 and will also include time to setup your own demo lab.
Prerequisites: Download the Windows Server 2012 installation kit in VHD format prior to attending the event and bring it with you on a portable hard drive drive, USB key or any other type of storage media. Your own laptop/computer will be required for lab setup. Hardware specification requirements are as follows:
- Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 as installed OS
- 64-bit capable hardware (x64)
- Intel-VT or AMD-V support in firmware
- Hardware-assisted memory protection in firmware (XD)
- At least 4GB total RAM
- At least 60GB free space on HDD
- Full Administrator Rights to existing PC OS
- No disk encryption or pre-boot authentication
