DevTeach - Mission and Vision

Our mission

DevTeach stands for Developers Teaching. It is a conference done by developers for developers. It offers the elements of an international conference and the elements of a community event.

Our mission is to provide an accessible conference to all developers of small and large enterprises with the highest standard in the industries. DevTeach gives the chance to everyone to get training from international renamed speakers at an affordable price. Our primary objective is helping the community communicate the know how to the developers. Therefore DevTeach is not just a conference; it is also a community event.

Our vision

At DevTeach we have a vision where we see the developers taking control of their future. We see developers forming a strong and organized community, which can influence the future of the product that we use. After all we are the one that are investing time and money in learning how to create solutions. It’s just normal that we should be involved in the design of future products versions.

By developers for developer

The best trainer for developers is a developer. DevTeach has been created by developers for developers. Every detail of this event is well thought-out by developers.

The dream

Years ago a friend of mine brought me to a developer’s conference. At the time I received a rebate because I was a user group leader. That conference opened my eyes on what developers can accomplish and become. From that day I dreamed to do conferences for developers that do not have the luxury to go to larger event. I would like to thank all attendees of previous events for making my dream come true.

Jean-René Roy, DevTeach     Jean-René Roy has been developing IT systems for large and small enterprises since 1987. In 1991 he founded the consulting firm Technologies SoftDesign Inc. Since that time he has worked on projects for Bell Canada, CGI, ArchiDATA, Sun Telcom, Accent de Ville, Kraft, ADN Medical and many other clients. He has been and is still very active in the developers’ community by acting as a user group leader for more then ten years with the MFUG, SSMUG and GUVSM user groups in Montreal. Jean-René is also the founder and president of www.DevTeach.com an international developer’s conference. Jean-René Roy is a Microsoft MVP.
