A Pre-Conference (May 28th) on iOS by Kevin McNeish
This workshop takes you from the initial inception of an idea for an App through the design, implementation, testing, and release of an iOS App. In this workshop you get a real taste for the entire App development process from beginning to end with emphasis on best practices throughout. This includes information on laying out a solid architecture, coding techniques, testing tools, working with the simulator as well as the process of deploying to actual devices, all the way through App Store submission. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops and follow along through the development process.

In this one-day boot camp, participants will learn how to use the tools and Android SDK to write applications for their Android devices. This feature-packed boot camp will show you how to get started in Android development, right from the start to deployment. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring along their notebook computers and follow along with the lab exercises.

Colin Melia is a Microsoft MVP for Silverlight and Microsoft Regional Director known as an architect, trainer, speaker and author with deep and broad knowledge of the latest Microsoft technologies, proven problem solving skills, hands-on solution creation ingenuity and the ability to communicate rich and complex ideas. Colin has 17 years of hands-on experience in areas of rich UI with WPF/Silverlight, cloud development with Azure and BI with SQL Server, along with in-depth knowledge of core technologies such as .NET, OData, WCF, WF, LINQ and WIF. He has developed award-winning simulation technology with rich UI, cloud-based learning portals and workflow-driven BI systems. Bryan Costanich is the Director of Education at Xamarin, makers of MonoTouch and Mono for Android. He's a former Microsoft engineer, published author and renowned software architect. He's also a mobile development expert. In addition to having published to the Apple App Store, his recent project, MuveMusic, which runs on Android is the fastest growing music subscription service on the planet.
